How long does the process usually take?

Turnaround times will vary from project to project.  Please contact me with details on your project to see if I have availability during your desired time frame. 

 Can I make changes to my order?

 Once the design is finalized, only minor changes can be made.  Please notify me within 48 hours of receiving a place card or envelope addressing project if there are any changes that need to be made.  I may not be able to get corrections back to you before your event if correspondence takes place after this time.


 When do I have to have my guest list finalized?

 A complete list of names/numbers/addresses is required before I can begin work.  You and I will discuss an appropriate timeline for your specific project when we finalize the contract. 

Please note that I do NOT interpret your guest list. I will write exactly how it reads-so if you want "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith" please write it as such.


 Can you accommodate rush orders?

A 30% fee will be added to any orders that must be completed within 2 weeks of receipt of the items (envelopes, place cards, etc.).  A 50% fee will be added to any orders that must be completed within a week.  Please contact me to make sure that your order can be accommodated first.

 Do I have to supply the materials?

If you have special items already that you are wanting to use for place cards, escort cards, signage, etc., then please provide those items.  If I am addressing envelopes, and I did not create the invitation suite, please provide those as well.  Most invitation suites should come with the appropriate envelopes.  Please include 15 - 20% additional materials to allow for bleeds, mistakes, and additions.

 Can I get a refund?

Due to the hand written/created nature of my work, refunds are NOT offered.  Please order a physical sample to be sent to you before your final approval if you are unsure of the color, style, or format.

When do I have to pay?

A 50% non refundable deposit and a signed contract are required to hold your date.   The remaining 50% is due before I can hand off the pieces to you, or mail them out. 


 Can you match your ink to a specific color I am want?

 If you need me to match a specific color, I require a physical sample OR a Pantone color. I may not be able to get an EXACT match, but I will get as close as possible.


 Will I see a proof before you start?

 Yes, I provide a proof for most items I create.  Some items, such as place cards, may not be proofed due to their simplicity.  The price includes an electronic mock up and up to 3 revisions.  Additional changes may incur a fee.


Can you copy a font from samples I have?

Calligraphy is a process done by hand.  Every time I pick up the pen, the writing that flows looks a little different than the previous time.  Each calligrapher has their own style, and I prefer not to copy others work.  When contacting me about a potential collaboration, please provide the sample that you are wanting me to match.  If it is similar to my style, then I will be happy to create something similar.
